Outlaw Hotrods run to a strict rules and regulations
programme which, on occasions, much like other formulas some drivers may disagree with, but at the end of the day rules are
rules and they are there for a reason. The Outlaw Hotrods run on several diffrent tracks, all of which offer a very challenging race for the driver, as no
two tracks are the same. Some of the tracks used are; Arena Essex, Birmingham, Buxton, Cowdenbeath, Crimond, Hednesford, Knockhill,
Mendip Hills, Northampton, Ringwood, Taunton and Wimbledon. The Outlaws also run in a meeting called The Rolling Thunder show, which is held at Arena Essex. This meeeting is held
on a Saturday and is run slightly different to the other racing run by PRI, the cars have three races which are made up of
two heat races and a final, before the first race the drivers will pick a number from a hat, this determines where they will
start on the grid, so if a driver picks number 1 he or she will start on pole, if they pick number 2 then they start second
on the grid and so on, the second race is a filpped grid, for example, if you start on pole in the first race then you
will start last in the second race. The final is worked out by the places you finished in the first and second races. Outlaw racing is a non-contact race so if you are seen hitting another
driver on purpose you will be given a black flag and will have to pull off of the track. However, racing at speeds of
up to 90+mph and with anything upto 25 other cars racing around you, it would be almost impossible not to have a few bumps
and scrapes, but with some drivers spending up to £20,000 in getting there cars looking and running like they do, they will
try their hardest not to touch anything!
